Good to know
Why does the first shampoo go on dry hair?
Sebum does not dissolve well once it has been diluted with water. Applied to a dry scalp, the pre-wash shampoo works directly on the built-up oil and residue blocking the bulb, which is what makes the following steps effective.
How often should I use the full routine?
Two to three times a week while you are treating the scalp. Between those washes you can use the co-wash on its own.
Will treating the scalp dry out my ends?
No. The co-wash conditions as it cleanses, with avocado oil and D-panthenol for the length, so the routine stays balanced while the scalp is being treated.
Is this the same as an anti-dandruff shampoo?
Not quite. Dandruff shampoos usually rely on an antifungal active alone. This routine treats the bulb and the oil balance around it, which is where oily flaking and seborrhea come from, and the co-wash does carry tea tree oil for antifungal support.
